Jilted GM arrested over sharing explicit images of ex-lover’s daughter

Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinghe yesterday (28) ordered the release of a woman general manager of a leading tea export company on a bail of Rs.100,000 for sharing manipulated images of her boyfriend’s seven-year-old daughter, which were edited with explicit photos.

The suspect was arrested by the CID based on a complaint made

to the Computer crimes Investigation Division by an executive officer of the same company. She is a resident of Kalagedihena.

The CID has presented the facts to the court that the complainant, who is a married person, has been in a relationship

with the suspect who works in the same company for many years and later decided to stop it and informed her about it. The Criminal Investigation Department reported the facts to the court that the suspect, who was angry with the proposal to end the relationship, had attached obscene pictures with obscene words to the pictures of the complainant’s infant daughter and sent them to the complainant’s WhatsApp account and email account. The Colombo Additional Chief Magistrate also ordered the CID to report the progress of its investigation in to the incident.
