
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court today ordered that the case filed against former Minister Johnston Fernando, who is currently released on bail in connection with the alleged illegal possession of a luxury vehicle, be called again on October 28.
The case was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena, where Fernando appeared in court as the suspect.
Appearing on behalf of Fernando, President’s Counsel Sampath Mendis informed the court that the matter falls under the provisions of the Motor Traffic Act.
Magistrate Amarasena directed that the case be scheduled for its final hearing on October 28, concluding today’s proceedings. (Newswire)
