Joining APG: Wimal not decided still
National Freedom Front MP Wimal Weerawansa said media reports which said he had decided to join an All-Party Government were not correct.
He said that an All-Party Government is needed to implement the minimum common national programme with all-party consensus. The former minister said he will keep a close eye on the ‘minimum common national programme’ that will be prepared in the future, taking into consideration the suggestions made by his group. Weerawansa said that if he decides to join an all-party government he will openly inform the public about it. The MP said that it was his Group that informed the country for the first time that the establishment of an all-party government is the best solution to pass this interim period when the current economic crisis has developed into a political crisis.
