JVP deceiving masses on MP’s pensions – SJB

SJB National Organizer and MP Tissa Attanayake said that the JVP should understand that the time for deceiving the people is now over. 

He questioned from which mouth the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) is speaking against the pension of the parliamentarians. He made these comments while participating in a programme held in Deniyaya on Saturday (11).

Commenting further, Attanayake said that there is a group of parliamentarians who live on their pensions and buy medicines using them. Tissa Attanayake who said that he is surprised at the people who make fun of it also mentioned that the members of Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna are also entitled to this pension.

“They may say that they will not take the salary and it will go to the JVP party fund. That is a lie”, he said. They say they will send it to the party fund, then they send it and get it back. If not, how would people live. The truth must be told. There is no point in deceiving the people with lies. The time when the JVP fooled the people by saying that a random person bought them their clothes and that if they go to a shop, they get free food has ended. The people of our country cannot be fooled now.
