Kaveen Anjana Fernando a sparkling knock

A hurricane knock of 141 runs by Kaveen Anjana Fernando helped Methodist High School Puwakaramba Moratuwa to clinch the All Island Under 19 Division Three Tier “A” Trophy by beating Jaffna Central College by 6 wickets in their inter school tournament cricket match organized by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and worked off at Minneriya.

Kaveen hit 14 fours and 5 sixes and occupied the crease for 109 minutes and faced 123 balls and associated a second wicket partnership of 157 runs with Thisara Jayanga who contributed 43 runs.

Taking the first lease Jaffna Centralians scored 250 runs with J. Vithusan scoring 86 runs and Sihina Dewmith claimed 3 for 47 and in reply Methodians notched up the required score for the loss of 4 wickets.
