Kumana National Park has earned nearly Rs. 40 million from last January to September.

Director General of Wildlife Chandana Suriyabandara said that the park has generated such a large income after four years.

Suriyabandara said that about 12,000 local and foreign tourists have come to visit the park during this time and steps were taken to provide high-quality services for them and improve the internal roads and public facilities of the park.

Prior to this, such a high income was reported in 2018, and due to the collapse of the tourism industry as a result of the Covid pandemic, the Director General said that the income level of the previous years was low.
