Kuwaiti low-cost budget airline, Jazeera Airways which is the second flag carrier of Kuwait, will be increasing its flight operations to Sri Lanka commencing this October 2023, the Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka (AASL) announced yesterday (28).

According to the AASL, Jazeera Airways is boosting its service in Colombo with daily flights to and from Sri Lanka to cater to high volumes of travellers flying to Sri Lanka from Kuwait and back.

With many other reputed airlines and budget airlines commencing their maiden flight operations in Sri Lanka this year (2023) and airlines that are already flying to Colombo increasing their weekly number of flights to and from Sri Lanka due to the surge in the tourism industry in the country, Jazeera Airways will be the next such airline to increase its weekly number of flights to and from Sri Lanka which reflects positively on the tourism industry and the image of Sri Lanka. “Jazeera Airways, your go-to low-cost carrier, first took off in Colombo in 2021, and now, due to the incredible demand, Jazeera is taking flights daily,” the AASL added.
