Lanka Hospitals Group posts Rs. 2.2 bn PAT for 2021
The Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC, announced that it has achieved significant revenue and profit milestones in the financial year 2021, recording the highest revenue and profits since its inception in 2002.
In its announcement to the Colombo Stock Exchange, the hospital group has reported that it had recorded revenue of Rs. 10 billion in 2021 against the revenue of Rs. 6.8 billion recorded in 2020, representing a top-line growth of 47% YOY basis. The Group also reported a PAT of Rs. 2.2 billion for 2021 compared to Rs. 384 million recorded in 2020, representing a profit growth of nearly six times more than in the prior year.

Lanka Hospitals’ Group Chief Executive, Deepthi Lokuarachchi stated that 2021 was a year full of challenges and the sheer dedication, commitment and perseverance of the hospital’s medical and support teams led to a differentiated approach in managing the diverse healthcare needs of patients amidst the pandemic.
“It’s noteworthy to mention that through our facilities we have treated more than 10,000 COVID-19-infected individuals while assuring safety of lives and offering comfort to families who successfully overcame the traumatic effects of the disease. The hospital group serves 300,000 patients annually with the capacity of 300 beds, 6 dedicated ICUs, 10 General Operating Theatres, 2 Cardiac Theatres and a state-of-the-art Cath Lab.
In its network the hospital works along with 950 registered medical consultants and highly trained and skilled medical and support staff.
