Lanka Sathosa reduces prices of 10 essential foods

Lanka Sathosa has reduced the prices of ten essential food commodities in view of the upcoming festive season for consumers. Lanka Sathosa announced that the price reduction will be effective from yesterday (15) till December 31.

Accordingly, the price of Sathosa Milk Powder has been reduced by Rs.10 and the new price is Rs.940.Imported canned fish 425g has been reduced by Rs. 55 while 155g reduced by Rs. 10. Local canned fish 425g has been reduced by Rs. 20. Imported and local potatoes are reduced by Rs. 15 per kilo.

Red Nadu rice 1 Kg has been reduced by Rs. 15 while 1 kilo of White Nadu rice reduced by Rs. 5.Chickpeas price has been brought down by Rs.5 per kilo.

A kilo of sugar can be purchased at Rs. 275 and big onions reduced price stands at Rs.400 per kilo while an egg is priced at Rs.35.
