Legend 96 team Cricket Champions

Legend 96 team of Kalmunai Zahira College became champions of the ‘Zahiriyan Legend Premier League Champion Trophy-2023’ of the limited overs cricket tournament conducted by old boys of Kalmunai Zahira College at the Kalmunai Zahira College Play grounds recently.

Old boy and Power Player Zahiriyan -96 team co-ordinator U.K.Kalideen organized the tournament successfully.

G.C.E A/L Batch of Kalmunai Zahira College Legend -90, Legend -91, legend -92, Legend -94, Legend -95, and Legend -96 old boys batch teams took part in this tournament. The Legend -96 team beat Legend -90 team by 26 runs in the final.

In the final, Legend 96 team won the toss and batted first and scored 81 runs in their allocated 12 overs for 6 wickets. In reply, Legend 90 team, scored 55 runs in 12 overs, losing 9 wickets.

Man of the Match was Sakkab Tharik of Legend 96 and Man of the Series was A.M.Zahir Hussain of Legend 90 team.

Main sponsor Hanik Construction chairman and old boy, Engineer Siddique Fareed was the chief guest at the award ceremony and awarded the trophy to winning teams and players. College Principal M.A.Jabir and many others were participated as guests.

A cash donation of Rs.50,000.00 was presented to be utilized for the betterment of GCE Ordinary Level students of the school.
