Local beverage hits Kenyan market

For the first time in beverage history local spirits made by Ceylon Breweries PLC were imported by Mayleen Corporation of Kenya from Sri Lanka.

This initiative which would help to bring more FOREX to Sri Lanka was coordinated by Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Kenya, Kana V. Kananathan.

Mayleen Corporation is a leading conglomerate of Sri Lankan and Kenyan origin and plays a key role in bringing global tastes to Kenyan consumers through its FMCG arm helping in shaping the beverages landscape in Kenya via introducing globe products to the country. “We will be adding more products from Sri Lanka to the Kenyan market in the future as well.”

The exclusive launching event took place in Sri Lankan High Commission in Nairobi and the High Commissioner expressed delight in witnessing the expansion of Sri Lankan spirits through the introduction of Ceylon Brewery products to Kenya.
