“Maariya” wins award at 6th Hanoi International Film Festival

A group of seven actors, Mahendra Perera, Priyantha Sirikumara, Hemal Ranasinghe, Darshan Dharamaraj, Ashan Dias, Suran Dissanayaka, Dasun Patirana of the film called “Maariya – Angel of the Ocean” of Sri Lanka received the  “Best Actor in the feature-length film” award at the 6th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF).

The 6th Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF) 2022 returned to the Vietnamese capital from November 8-12 after the pandemic forced it to be cancelled for two consecutive years.

This year’s event themed “Cinema-Humanities, Adaption and Development” attracted 123 cinematographic works from countries and territories.
