Macktiles a leading player in the local tile industry, which offers quality and affordable products to the consumer, recently upgraded a floor area of the Colombo South Teaching Hospital by providing Vinyl flooring as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive.
Made with zero toxic material, Vinyl flooring comes with sealed surfaces without joints making it an ideal solution for hospitals to maintain hygiene levels. Unlike tiled floors, it is easy to clean and not having grouting spaces also prevents the accumulation of germs and viruses.
“As a responsible business Macktiles is committed to extend our support to the nation in every possible way to navigate the current pandemic situation. We felt it is vital to extend our assistance to the country’s healthcare sector, which is grappling to fulfill the critical healthcare needs resulting from Covid-19 pandemic,” said the Chief Executive Officer of Macktiles Ahamed Shafee.
“Similarly, we believe this is the right moment to develop the local tile industry. We are exploring avenues to make an impact on the country’s economy by achieving self-sufficiency in the local tile manufacturing sector and thereby save foreign exchange outflow, he adds.
