Madushan Premalal does Ibbagamuwa Central proud

Right hand opening batsman and right arm off spinner and a safe fielder with a good arm under 15 Captain under 19 Division Three All Island Best Batsman and Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the year Man of the Match of 2018 Big Match, Member of the Sri Lanka under 19 squad 2021 Hewawasamge Prabuddha Madushan Premalal has brought honour and glory for his alma mater Ibbagamuwa Central College with his deeds on the field of Cricket.
Pabuddha was born on 21st February 2003 and admitted to Mihindu Vidyalaya Ratnapura in 2009 and in the same year he was drafted to Pussiyankulama Vidyalaya Ratnapura and again he shifted to Mahinda Vidyalaya Kurunegala and in 2014 joined Ibbagamuwa Central College.
Same year his Parents Rathnasiri Premalal of Narahenpita Police Station and Malani Ranasinghe noticing his talents and keenness to cricket they handed over him to the school Cricket Coach Dilip Chandrasekera and in his first year itself in under 13 playing in three matches he scored 60 runs and in his second year he collected 192 runs and in 2016 in his final year he scored 575 runs and notched up a double century against Royal College Wayamba and another century.
Coming on to under 15 division one in nine outings he scored 281 runs with two fifties and got selected to play for the Prima Cup and Provincial Tournaments and in the next year he scored 202 runs with a half century . They were unable to play in the under 17 tournament due to Covid 19 and they scored 248 runs with a century against St.John’s College Jaffna in a first eleven match.
With these performances under his belt he was an unanimous choice for the first eleven cricket team and in 2017/18 season he got 184 runs and in 2018/19 he collected 234 runs and in 2019/20 he scored 1144 runs with a double century, two centuries and Seven fifties and he carried away the Division Three All Island Best Batsman and Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Awards and in 2020/21 playing in six matches he scored 339 runs with a century and a fifty and his school qualified for the Quarter Finals of the under 19 One Day Tournament. In the meantime he played in two Big Matches against their arch rivals Maliyadeva Model School Kurunegala and in 2018 he carried away the Man of the Match Award.
