Maginarachchi Bodybuilding champion of National Sports Festival

GK Maginarachchi, representing Central Province, emerged as the champion of the All Island Bodybuilding Championship for the 47th National Sports Festival held at the Duncan White Auditorium, Sports Ministry, Torrington on August 5.

The championship, which was organized by the Sports Development Department of the Sports Ministry, featured nine weight categories, ranging from 55kg to Over 90kg, attracting over 100 talented bodybuilders from across the country. The participants were selected through rigorous competitions held in each province.

The technical aspects of the one-day championship were expertly handled by the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, with a panel of judges led by Judging Committee Chairman Wajira Marambage. The distinguished panel also included esteemed names like Kasun Chathuranga, Assistant Secretary of the Sri Lanka Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, as well as Sandun Priyankara, Ranjith Asoka, Harsha Wettasinghe, Gihan Sadeep, KC Thushara,

Saman Gamage, DA Gunasekara, Danushka de Silva, and S Ranjan.
