Sri Lankan mystery spinner Maheesh Theekshana broke Rohit Sharma’s record to become the youngest bowler to take a four-wicket haul in IPL with his 4 for 33 against Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) in Mumbai on April 12.
The 21 year old Chennai Super Kings Theekshana played his second match finished with 4 for 33 in his four over spell starting with his debut IPL wicket by dismissing RCB skipper Fuf Du Plessis. Rohit Sharma kept the record for 13 years, with his four wickets including a hat trick in 2009 against Mumbai when he played for the Deccan Chargers.
Theekshana played his debut IPL game against Sunrises Hyderabad finishing with wicketless given away 31 runs and he was scheduled to play his third game yesterday night against Gujarat Titans in Pune.
