Mahindian Dangamuwa makes half century in 20 balls
Eight teams Gurukula College Kelaniya, St. Joseph’s College Colombo, St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa, S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia, Richmond College Galle, St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya, Mahinda College Galle and Trinity College Kandy advanced to the quarter finals of the Under 17 division One inter schools cricket tournament.
Gurukula College Kelaniya beat St. Benedict’s College Kotahena by 10 wickets and St. Joseph’s College Colombo beat Mahanama College Colombo by 7 wickets in the pre quarter finals.
S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia beat Moratu Vidyalaya by 6 wickets and St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa beat St. Annes’ College Kurunegala by 8 wickets in the pre quarter finals.
Richmond College Galle beat De Mazenod College Kandana and St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya beat Wesley College Colombo by 7 wickets in the pre quarter finals.
Mahinda College Galle beat Revatha College Balapitiya by 5 wickets and Trinity College Kandy beat St. Anthony’s College Wattala by 5 wickets in the pre quarter finals.
This tournament conducted by Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with sponsor Sri Lanka Cricket. St. Peter’s College Bambalapitiya will meet S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia and Mahinda College Galle will meet Trinity College Kandy in the quarter finals.
