Maize import tax reduced to Rs. 25 a kilo

Finance State Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya yesterday said that import tax of Rs.75 on a kilogram of maize was reduced to Rs.25 from Thursday night.

“The aim of this is to reduce the price of animal feed produced using maize,” he tweeted.
