Majority SLPP MPs supporting President till end of term – Minister

Urban Development and Housing Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said yesterday that more than 126 SLPP members of Parliament are supporting the current President to continue

the current government until the last possible date. Addressing the SLPP’s Kotte Asana Bala Mandala meeting, the Minister said that it is essential to fulfilling the hopes of the people who voted for Pohottuwa in the last Presidential election and the General election.

The Minister also said that dissolving the Pohottuwa is not easy as it seems. We can do anything on behalf of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa who stopped the thirty year long war and created an environment where the people of the country can live peacefully.
