Man arrested over Rs.65 Mn bank withdrawal in Kirillawala

The Commercial Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department conducted an investigation into the fraudulent withdrawal of 65 million rupees   from a person’s account in a state-owned bank by presenting a forged national identity card and arrested a 66 year old man, a resident of Kirillawala, Kadawatha.

This person has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department on the charges of aiding and abetting and criminal breach of trust.

The Criminal Investigation Department had earlier arrested a senior official of the bank in connection with this financial fraud.
