Man commits suicide over business dispute with wife

A 30-year-old man had committed suicide by jumping into the Dandugam Oya, Seeduwa following a dispute with his wife.

The deceased, a father of one, was a laboratory worker. His wife is selling coconuts. She had scolded her husband for buying coconuts each at Rs. 100, alleging that these could have been bought each at Rs 90. She had asked her husband not to interfere with her business.

Negombo Coroner Dr. Siri Jayantha Wickramaratne held the postmortem.
