Man who stole Temple car arrested within hours

Kobeiygane Police gave chase to arrest a man who was stealing a car worth about Rs.6.5 mn belonging to the Chief Incumbent of a temple located in Kithagama, Kobeiygane on Thursday (28) afternoon.

Police said a 23-year-old resident of Tambuttegama area has stolen the car and was taking it away. Within an hour after the Chief Incumbent of the temple informed Police about it, they had chased the robber in the car and caught him and produced him before the law.This robber had come with two others. After questioning them, Police have taken steps to release them both.
