Manzil to lead Trinity rugby team

Attaab Manzil has been appointed as the captain of the Trinity College rugby team for the 2023 inter school season, . He has been playing for the senior side from the year 2020, and he was guided on the correct path by the former coach Kavinda Jayasena.

Attaab Manzil is a ruggerite who can fit as fly half and fullback, he played in both positions in the last season. He has won many awards in boxing, so he is sure to give his best for the game of rugby, he has some senior players in the squad and also a few new players have joined Trinity College.

His deputy will be No. 8 forward Chamendra Dhanapala a fine player and, he is sure to give his best as a player and vice captain. Both Captain and Vice captain were awarded rugby colours a few days back. Trinitians are blessed with talented coaches, this time Fazil Marija is the head coach and his deputy is Buddika Thalagampola who are capable of putting the players on the correct path.

Attaab Manzil and Chamendra Dhanapala will have the services of some last season players like Jageeth Basnayake, Thenuka Fernando, Thisanga Dissanaytake,Anuhas Kodithuwaku, Harith Samaraweera, Upek Gammudali, Sachindu Wanseklara,Senual Alexsander, Yasiru Ariyawansa Ravin Illangaratne, Hadan Faizal, Lakindu Herath, Venuka Kumarage.
