Masses will have to regret voting for NPP – SJB

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) which unleashed violence three times in the past is now seeking a mandate from the public hiding behind the ‘Compass’ symbol

 forgetting their ‘Bell’ symbol, head of the Buddhist Affairs Division of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya Dr.Dhanawardhana Guruge said. He stated this addressing a public rally held in Udugampola area recently.

Guruge said if people vote for JVP trusting the beautiful words by the JVP candidates, people will have to suffer and regret in the future. It will also be the funeral of the democracy, he said. He also said that it is the JVP which gave a violent mode to the people’s struggle launched to chase away former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.

“The JVP is cheating the public with different faces from time to time. We should say that the JVP should contest not under the symbol of Compass, but the symbol of Bullet,”he further said.
