Masseur arrested for robbing businessman

Mirihana Police arrested an employee of a massage centre on Wednesday (13) who stole a necklace worth more than Rs.500,000, a mobilephone worth more than Rs.100,000 and money from a businessman who went to a hotel room with her.

This businessman met this woman at a massage centre and on his invitation, this woman went to spend the night with the businessman at a lodge in Madiwela, Kotte.

It is said that when the businessman fell asleep, she had removed his gold necklace and stole the mobilephone and the money in his wallet and fled.

The businessman (43) from Nugegoda has complained to the Mirihana Police that the theft took place on September 5 between 11.30 pm and 4.00 am.

Police conducted investigations according to the complaint made by this businessman and arrested the 27-year-old suspected woman. The Police say that she is a resident of Siyambalanduwa Muthukandi.The suspect was to be produced before the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court.
