Matara Thomian stickers excel in Malaysia

Matara St. Thomas College’s under-20 hockey team, which represented Sri Lanka in the SSCC-PIKL hockey tournament held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, won the championship of that tournament. Many schools and sports clubs and teams representing Thailand, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Malaysia and India participated in this tournament which was held in Malaysia from September 6 to 11. Mr. Thilina Mangala, who is an old boy of the college and has achieved many national level achievements is the head coach of Matara Thominas.

Kapila Basnayake who is the MIC of hockey also participated in the tournament.
