Minister Wimal attends RCID in Jakarta

Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa is participating in the Second Regional Asia-Pacific Conference on Industrial Development (RCID) being held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

This conference is organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Industries and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), under the theme “Expediting Industries for Sustainable Industrialization.”

Ministers of Industry in the Asia-Pacific Region member countries of UNIDO are participating. The Minister and his entourage who arrived in Indonesia were welcomed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Industries of Indonesia.

In conjunction with the main conference,several special discussions were held on problems and challenges that arise in developing industries in countries of the Asia-Pacific region and Minister Wimal Weerawansa also addressed the conference.
