Minister Wimal Weerawansa in self-isolation

Minister of Industries Wimal Weerawansa has been placed under self-quarantine after several of his security personnel had tested positive for Covid-19.

In a Facebook post, the minister stated that he will be self-quarantining at his home for a period of 14 days from today (July 29).

He also said that his office in the Ministry of Industries will be disinfected and the section will be closed for 2 weeks.
