The Cabinet of Ministers informed Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe yesterday that they were ready to hand over responsibilities to the incoming Government as soon as there is a consensus to form an All-Party Government.
The Ministers had informed this at a discussion held with the Prime Minister yesterday morning.
Wickremesinghe declared on July 9 that he is ready to resign from the post of Prime Minister to support an All-Party Government. So far, Ministers Harin Fernando, Manusha Nanayakkara and Dhammika Perera have resigned from their ministerial positions.
The Prime Minister’s Office stated that the Ministers who could not attend the meeting joined the meeting via Zoom technology.
