Missing girls hiding near children’s home found

Five girls who went missing from a children’s home in the Mitiyagoda area were found yesterday (30), Mitiyagoda Police said.

Mitiyagoda Police received a complaint saying that five girls were missing from this children’s home last Sunday (29).

Accordingly, Police started an investigation to find these girls and they were found hiding in a jungle region close to the children’s home, a senior officer attached to Mitiyagoda Police said. These five girls are aged between 14 and 17.

Police further said that they are carrying out the investigations to find out the reason behind their fleeing and taking steps to produce the five girls before the Court.
