Mohamed Ahamed a promising soccer player from Kalutara

Nifal Mohamed Ahamed one of the most popular and outstanding football players of the Kalutara district is a 17 years old ordinary level student who has achieved many milestones in education and sports at the Muslim Central College (National school) Kalutara. Ahamed was born on 3rd of December 2005 as the elder son of Mohamed Nifal and Fathima Fahima Kalutara. He has two younger brother S M.N.M Yoosuf(13), M.N.M. Yoounus(11) and a sister Hikma (8).

Ahamed joined the prestigious Kalutara Muslim Central College to play football in 2010 and made his football debut in 2017 as a goal keeper, but that year did not gain much success.

however since then his team has gradually progressed at the divisional, zonal, district, provincial and national level during the period 2018 to 2021. During this period his team recorded many successes with his contribution and brought honour and glory to hisAlma mater Muslim Central College Kalutara.

In 2018, he got the opportunity to participate in the Diamond Jubilee Edition of Subroto Cup International Football Tournament held in New Delhi, India based on his outstanding talents in the Sri Lanka Football Association, Sri Lanka Inter school under 14 Boys National Football Championship-2018. In 2020 the Muslim Central College Football team participated in the 13th inter school Invitation Oxford President Cup Championship-2020 and his team won the second place and Ahmed was selected as the best goal Keeper of the tournament, which was organized by Hameed Al Husseini College Colombo.

In 2021 his team won the second place in the National youth sports festival. As a result of his immense talents at the school level tournaments he was included in the Kalutara Blue Star football team in Sri Lanka at a young age and he was instrumental in the victory of the 2021 Sri Lanka premier League football champions Blue Star team He also represented the Blue Star team at the AFC preliminary tournament in Nepal and India in April 2022. Ahamed said: I love football very much, my parents also wish I could bring honour and fame to the county and the school and they are eagerly doing all the best for it.
