Most Schools’ year end vacation for 2024 has commenced – Education Ministry

The Education Ministry said that the holiday for the completion of the first phase of the third school term of the year 2024 in government and government-approved private schools commenced yesterday (22).

Schools will resume for the second phase of the third term on January 2, 2025 at the end of this vacation. The first phase of the third school term for Sinhala and Tamil schools in government and government approved private schools ended yesterday. The Ministry of Education also said that the first phase of the third school term of Muslim schools will end on Friday, December 13.
