MP Welgama, another engage in altercation

The Matugama Police said, they received a complaint yesterday about an altercation between Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Kumara Welgama and another person in Matugama. Later the two sides reached an amicable settlement, Police said. The duel had been over a land issue, Police said.

The fisticuffs had taken place inside a shop in Matugama town and no one was injured. Later, both parties had gone to the police and lodged complaints.
