MR condemns attack on former VC

Former President, Mahinda Rajapaksa has condemned the brutal attack on former Vice Chancellor of the Peradeniya University, Senior Prof.Athula Senaratne yesterday.

Speaking to Prof. Senaratne over the phone, the former  Prime Minister had said that it is unacceptable for university students to carry out such a brutal attack on a Professor who had taught them at the university. Prof. Senaratne on this occasion has requested the former Prime Minister to support him to take legal action against all the students involved in this crime.
