MTD to take over printing of driver’s licences

Motor Traffic Department (MTD) Commissioner General Nishantha Anuruddha Weerasinghe said the

MTD will take over the printing of driver’s licences that was assigned to the Army.

From 2020 until now, the printing of driver’s licences was done under the control of the Army and it will be done under the supervision of the Department from September 1.

He said that officers of the Department are receiving training on printing of driver’s licences. He further said that this step was taken according to the instructions received from the Cabinet of Ministers.
