Murder suspect arrested after 14 years in Sripura

Sripura Police officers have arrested a man who was accused of murdering his wife and had been avoiding court for 14 years.

This person has been preparing to work abroad for a long time with a foreign passport prepared in the name of another person. According to the information received to an officer of the police intelligence unit, regarding this foreign passport, the Sripura police arrested the suspect on Monday.

The suspect who is a mason has been arrested over the forged passport. The suspect has told the police that he has been charged over the killing of his wife 14 years ago after being questioned by the police.

He has been arrested by the Eppawala police and he was in remand prison over the killing of his wife. He was arrested by the officers of the Eppawala Police and remanded. Later, he appeared in several court cases, but he has been missing for 14 years, avoiding court.
