National People’s Power Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake yesterday said “My team members are not babies in politics”. He said that his party as a political movement reached villages and persuaded the people as to why the upcoming election should be utilised to change the course of governance for the benefit of posterity. “People are gathering around our party with the objective of changing and defeating the negative economic and political policies adopted by successive Governments which have ruled the country since Independence,” he said. He added that his opponents have resorted to put in place various traps to cling on to politics. He added that the people have chased Governments and appointed new Governments at elections. “The forthcoming election will change the course of the Sri Lankan political system,” he said.
