Nagamuwa summoned to Court on Sept 6

Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage summoned Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) political committee member Duminda Nagamuwa to appear in open court on September 6 in relation to the defamatory statement made by him on Facebook and YouTube channels insulting Public Security Minister Tiran Alles yesterday (31).

The Magistrate made this order after considering the request made by the Criminal Investigation Department from the court by presenting the progress of the investigation in a B report, according to a notification made by Minister Tiran Alles to the Criminal Investigation Department that an insulting statement in a manner that provoked the public had been made against him.

The Criminal Investigation Department further informed the court that further investigations will be conducted regarding this statement released on the YouTube channel and Facebook.
