Namal Rajapaksa further remanded until October 23 in Krrish case

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa and Janaki Siriwardena, a former director of the Krrish Group, have been further remanded until Oct. 23 by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court over the alleged Krrish deal.
The magistrate rejected a bail application filed by Siriwardena.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama said the order on Rajapaksa’s bail application had not yet been prepared and would be announced at the next court hearing.
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption arrested the suspects and produced them before court over allegations involving the giving and receiving of Rs. 70 million in bribes in connection with the operations of Krish Group, among other charges. (Newswire)
