Namal suspects Aragalaya hand in fertilizer issue?
Hambantota district MP Namal Rajapaksa said that he had a question about whether former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was advised about fertilizer by the third party who led the Galle Face struggle. “If not, I believe that a son of Mr D.A. Rajapaksa, who was a farmer, will not cut the fertilizer subsidy,” he said.
MP Namal Rajapaksa said this while addressing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna’s Hiriyala electorate committee recently.
“For some reason, Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s Government switched to organic fertilizers. That conversion was a complete failure. I suspect that the third-party who led the struggle might have advised him to do so,” Rajapaksa said.
