As part of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) initiatives, a medical-grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant was donated to the Walasmulla Base Hospital on December 22.
The event was held under the patronage of the Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Chinthaka Kumarasinghe.
The Navy provided manpower and industrial expertise under the guidance of Navy Commander Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera. In the meantime, the Health Ministry has shown much support and provided backing for this commendable project.
The Navy efficiently installed and delivered this medical-grade RO plant to the Kidney Treatment Unit of Walasmulla Base Hospital within a period of just 45 days, addressing a critical need.
The occasion was also attended by a group of Government officials, Naval officers and staff of Walasmulla Base Hospital.
