NCPA SI assaulted inside bus, man arrested

Boralesgamuwa Police has arrested a person who assaulted a Sub-Inspector attached to the Special Police Investigation Unit of the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) in a passenger bus on Wednesday (6). Boralesgamuwa Police said that the Sub-Inspector who was attacked has been admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital.

This officer, who resides in Neboda area, was attacked when he was travelling in a passenger bus to report for duty.

Police said the bus was full of passengers at that time and the attack took place after an argument between the two. A resident of Kahathuduwa has been arrested in this regard.
