Middle order right hand bat, Left arm leg spinner and Safe fielder, Vice Captain of the under 19 Cricket Team 2022, Member of the Chilaw Marians Premier Cricket Team and Junior John Tarbet Athlete Palaveni Arachchige Nethmi Nidushika Perera has brought honour and immense glory to her two schools Asoka Primary School, Kalagedihena and Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha with her deeds in athletics and cricket.

Nethmi who hails from Thihariya, Kalagedihena was initially admitted to Asoka Primary School Kalagedihena. She participated in the Inter House Sports Meets in 2012 and continued up to 2021 and in her first year she did 50 and 75 metres and came first and took part in the Inter House relay event and in the following two years too she participated in the same events and won places. Then in 2014 she passed the Grade Five Scholarship Exam with flying colours and admitted to Rathnavali Balika Vidyalaya Gampaha in 2015 and she continued athletics at the Inter House Meets and in the under 12 age group she won the 100 metres, Long Jump and in Relay and

participated for the Divisional Meet and in the same year she represented her school at the Junior John Tarbet Meet in the 100 metres event and came fifth and received colours and her Coach was .Gayan and Prefect of Games was Mrs.Anusha Gunasekera.

While participating in athletics as her forte is cricket her parents Anton Chandasiri Perera and Sunethra Jayalath admitted her to Nittambuwa Ladies Cricket Academy and came under Gihan and in 2017 she was an unanimous choice for the under 19 team and her coach was. Chaminda and later came under Asela Sampath, . Gayan and Ishan Munasinghe and played for the school team in the Ladies School Tournament and in 2018 and 2019 she played for the Big Matches versus Anula Vidyalaya Nugegoda and she claimed nine scalps and again played for the 2020 and 21 schools tournaments and presently she is playing for the ongoing girls tournaments and she is the Vice Captain to Sri Lanka player Vishmi Gunaratne and in four matches so far she has captured ten wickets.

In addition she is a Member of the Chilaw Marians Ladies Team and so far she has bagged eight wickets in four matches and took 6 for 17 against Sri Lanka Navy Ladies Team in the on going Premier Tournament.
