“New Alliance led by  SLFP will reveal presidential candidate on Wednesday”

Minister of Agriculture and Plantation Industry and Senior Vice President of Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera said that the new alliance led by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party will reveal the presidential candidate to the country on the 31st of this month.

The minister expressed these views while participating in a program held in Agunakolapalasse last Friday (26). In order to prevent damage to crops from wild animals, there was a program to provide air rifles to farmers by the Sri Lanka Hadabima Authority and the Minister mentioned this while participating in it.

Sri Lanka Freedom Party is not divided. Now there is only one legal Sri Lanka Freedom Party. We have the right to that party. We also have the party headquarters in our hands. That is why some people have made various claims that they are the Sri Lanka Freedom Party, but now the real Sri Lanka Freedom Party is in our hands.

This year’s presidential election will be won by the presidential candidate supported by the new alliance led by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. We will tell the whole country about it on the 31st of July. Also, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party cannot present a candidate at this time. Because the former chairman of our party destroyed this party. Therefore, we are supporting a candidate who is recognized by the country as a visionary and experienced candidate who can solve the country’s current problems.

It is decided by the Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. We do not make decisions as individuals. The minister also mentioned that we take decisions as a party.
