New building with meditation area at Pamankada, Sri Maha Vihara

The new building with a Meditation Area at Sri Maha Vihara, Pamankada, was opened by Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena yesterday (29). Construction of the building was done with the financial contribution of Dr. Mohan Kumararathna and Savithree Kumararathna, who are residing in California State, America, and the design and construction were done by the Civil Engineering Division of the Sri Lanka Navy. Maha Sangha, including Ven. Aggamaha Panditha Walpola Piyananda Thera, Chief Incumbent of Sri Maha Viharaya, Pamankada, and Dharmavijaya Vihara in USA, Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakhe,public representatives including MPs Sarath Weerasekara and Yadamini Gunawardena and a group of devotees participated.
