New Constitution for Sri Lanka Cricket approved

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the drafting of laws based on the recommendations of the K. T. Chitrasiri report to address and resolve the issues faced by Sri Lanka Cricket, Cabinet Spokesman and Mass Media Minister Dr. Bandula Gunawardhana said.

He was speaking at the weekly Cabinet media briefing held yesterday at the Government Information Department.

A new constitution has been drafted by the said committee for Sri Lanka Cricket.

Accordingly, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the joint proposal presented by the Foreign Affairs Minister, Power and Energy Minister, Labour and Foreign Employment Minister and the Public Security Minister to instruct the Legal Draftsman to prepare a Bill to approve and implement the new Constitution.
