Two Ambassadors and a High Commissioner to Sri Lanka presented their credentials to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (23).
The appointments of two Ambassadors for Italy and Germany, along with the designation of a new High Commissioner for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, assumed their roles as representatives of their respective countries.
The ceremony was attended by Senior Advisor to the President on National Security and Chief of Presidential Staff Sagala Ratnayaka.
New diplomats who presented their credentials:
United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland High Commissioner Andrew Patrick, Germany’s Ambassador Dr. Felix Neumann, Italy’s Ambassador Damiano Francovigh.
Foreign Affairs State Minister, Tharaka Balasooriya, Secretary to the President, Saman Ekanayake, and Foreign Affairs Ministry Secretary, Aruni Wijewardena were present.
