Zahira College Prize Giving ceremony today

Zahira College Islamic Society has organised annual Meelad un Nabi Day and Prize Giving ceremony which will be held today (14) at 9.30 a.m. at the Abdul Ghaffoor Hall. It will be held under the patronage of College Principal Trizviiy Marikkar. Director of Education Muslim Schools Development Branch Major N. T. Nasumutheen will be the chief guest.

Qunooth Dua for Palestinians recited

Colombo Grand Mosque recited Qunooth Dua for the safety of Palestine people to relieve the hardship in their day-to-day life during Friday Jumma prayers held yesterday (13). Qunooth was also recited.

Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Palestine Fawzan Anwer said prayers for the safety of Palestine people were conducted in other Mosques too. He also said it was important to find a peaceful solution to the conflict at the earliest to avoid more loss of life and destruction.
