“NHDA assigned special task”
The National Housing Development Authority has been assigned a special task to find solutions to the dollar crisis facing the country, said new Chairman of Urban Development Authority Nimesh Herath, who assumed office yesterday.
“Currently, our country is facing many crises. The dollar scarcity is the main among them. We need to think about how to find solutions to this dollar shortage by being innovative.” He also mentioned that the Urban Development Authority can never depend for survival on the Government Treasury and should look at achieving self sufficiency in fiancés. State institutions should work with modern technology and public servants should discard their outdated ideas and get used to working in a way that suits the modern world.
“Employees should also provide efficient and friendly services not only to top foreign and local investors, professionals but also rural folks who come to obtain our services.”
