The maximum fee to be charged by a registered photographer for taking digital pictures of a person applying for a new National Identity Card (NIC) or a duplicate of an identity card has been increased to Rs.400 rupees.
Previously, the maximum fee charged for this was Rs.150. The gazette notice issued in 2016 setting the maximum fee for digital photo of National Identity Card as 150 rupees has been invalidated and a new gazette notice has been issued. According to the gazette announcement, the new fee will be implemented with immediate effect.
